Scott Carmichael - Head Coach Scott is entering his 39th year of teaching/coaching and is excited by the opportunity to build a program of excellence from scratch at Lebanon Trail HS. His seven years guiding Trail Blazer golf has produced four straight district championships, three region championships, and two state runner-up as well as a 4th place & 8th place finishes on the girls team side and 6 all-state, 10 all-region, and 24 all-district performers. In addition, Coach Carmichael also was named the District 9 AAAAA Girls Golf Coach of the Year in 2017-18, 2018-19, & 2020-21.
Scott previously served as the Head Golf Coach for 5 years in Texas and later in Georgia, where, in 1999 he was named Golf Coach of the Year by the Athens Banner Herald after the boys team finished state runner-up after losing in a sudden death play-off. Scott also won state football championships as an Offensive Coordinator in Georgia in, 1999 at Oconee Co HS, 2003 at Camden Co.HS, and 2010 at Chattahoochee HS. He also won State Assistant Coach of the Year awards in 2003 and 2010. Coach Carmichael's hobbies are, golf, snow skiing, Longhorn sports, hiking, reading, cooking, he is an unabashed foodie and loves all kinds of ethnic foods. Scott is married to the lovely Cheryl and has one son, Caleb, who is in the ministry, a daughter-in-law Samantha, and grandkids Grayson & Henley who are the joys in his life. |

Alexandria Gallagher
This will be Alex’s 5th year teaching and coaching after having worked for a few years in communications right out of school. She earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State and her graduate degree from Texas Tech. Alex played golf at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 2006-2010. Her team went on to win the State Championship in 2008, 2009, and 2010. She is excited to help the Trail Blazers continue their path towards success with her knowledge and love of golf. Alex’s hobbies include golf, reading, watching travel documentaries, and attending various sporting events. In August 2017 she married her husband, Rob, and together they enjoy exploring DFW and its many restaurants. |
